Kendra Clarke
Kendra Clarke is a research executive and leads a team of algorithmic experience researchers who focus on understanding how social media users understand and feel the impact of machine learning models and the tooling and practices that machine learning practitioners need to build better, more resilient, and more ethical algorithms.
Kendra has spent a decade and a half working for New York-based tech, marketing, and consulting firms. She's currently Twitter's Head of Design and Research for Core Technology, and in addition to her day job is working on several new projects, including a sci-fi podcast and memoir. Kendra is a frequent keynote speaker and lecturer on issues of machine learning and AI bias, leveraging data to understand culture, and the intersections of emerging technology and equity.
