Mr. Clinton has led the Internet Security Alliance (ISA) for over 20 years.  ISA is a multi-sector trade association that focuses on thought leadership, policy advocacy and developing best cybersecurity practices for corporate boards of directors.

In addition to testifying before Congress on multiple occasions, Mr. Clinton has been a featured briefer/speaker at the NATO Center for Cyber Excellence in Estonia, The G-20 Digital Security Working Group in Riyad Saudi Arabia, The Organization of American States Cybersecurity Summit in Santiago Chile, and the World Economic Forum Cybr Summit in Geneve Switzerland. The National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) has named Mr. Clinton to the “Corporate 100” list of the most influential people in the field of corporate governance three times. He was awarded a “Challenge Medal” from CISA Director Jen Easterly and has won three “Reed Awards” for the use of AI from Campaigns and Elections Magazine. He has also presented at numerous conferences including multiple appearances at RSA and the New York AI Summit and many others.

Mr. Clinton literally wrote the book on best cybersecurity practices for corporate boards i.e., the Cyber Risk Oversight Handbook which ISA publishes in partnership with the NACD.  The NACD-ISA Handbook is the only set of best practices in the cyber field that has been independently assessed, (by PWC, MIT and the World Economic Forum) and found to generate improved cybersecurity benefits. Documented impacts from use of the NACD-ISA handbook include better risk management, closer alignment of cybersecurity with business practices an enhanced culture of security as well as an expected 80% reduction in cyber events without raising costs. ISA has partnered with industry and governments to produced 10 adapted handbook versions in 5 languages on 4 continents.

In addition to the Cyber Risk Oversight Handbooks Mr. Clinton is the lead author and editor of The Cybersecurity Social Contract (2016) Cybersecurity for Business (2022) Fixing American Cybersecurity (2023) and numerous professional Journal articles in the Journal of Strategic Security, “Cybersecurity: A Refereed Journal and Cutter IT Journal

Mr. Clinton teaches a graduate course in cyber risk management at the Wharton School and has provided cybersecurity training for the Federal Reserve Bank. He has served on wide variety of boards and advisory commissions including the IT Sector Coordinating Council (two terms as Chair) The Center for Audit Quality's Cyber Advisory Committee and the Better Business Bureau's Small Business Advisory Board.

Mr. Clinton has been a featured expert on cyber security in virtually every major media outlet including The New York Times, USA Today Fox Business News, CBS, Morning Show, PBS “Moring Edition” and “Science Friday” as well as the PBS “News Hour,” CNN’s “Situation Room” CNBC’s “Closing Bell” and MTV in India.

Starting in January 2024 Mr. Clinton will host a one-hour weekly streaming interview television program “Fixing Cybersecurity” available on the Sling platform.
