Dr. Patrick J. Murphy is the Goodrich Entrepreneurship Chair, full professor, and founding Director of the Barefield Entrepreneurship Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His work has been published by Harvard Business Review, Yale University Press, and in many leading scholarly outlets. He has advised entrepreneurs worldwide, trained thousands of aspiring entrepreneurs, and was a racing industry entrepreneur for ten years. In 2022, UAB's Barefield Entrepreneurship Program was named the nation's top emerging university entrepreneurship program by the US Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.
