Rachana Kumar is a global CTO and product executive with over 20 years of experience leading high-impact innovation and scaling hyper-growth organizations. As the former Chief Technology Officer at Etsy, she spearheaded a major AI and platform transformation, scaling generative AI adoption by 5X and achieving 99.95% system uptime that facilitated $13B in sales annually with $2.8B in revenue. Rachana has a proven track record of managing global teams of over 1,200 employees, overseeing $1B+ in P&L, and driving significant revenue growth.

Rachana also served as the Managing Director of Etsy Mexico, where she was responsible for opening the company’s Mexico City office. In earlier roles at Etsy, she played a key part in scaling the mobile platform and led product engineering through the company’s hypergrowth phase. Rachana's experience spans multiple countries and industries, ranging from media and e-commerce in the US and India to international development in Cambodia.

Rachana is an advisor to many startups.  She also serves on the Board of Trustees for the Liberty Science Center and is a Tech Advisory Council Member at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. Rachana is a frequent keynote speaker at events like Web Summit and Microsoft Build and is recognized among the Top 100 Leaders in Tech.
