MVP Build Vibe Coding Sprint at The AI Summit New York
Join AI Tinkerers at the AI Summit NYC for a 90-minute sprint to build the fastest MVP you can with modern AI tools. Whether you’re using Claude Code, Cursor, or your own agentic setup, this session challenges you to go from idea → demo in lightning-fast AI speed alongside top builders in NYC.
Description:
Attendees will participate in a high-energy challenge designed to test how productive AI tools can make them. After a brief kick-off and overview of the challenge, participants will dive straight into building a working MVP from scratch using AI-assisted coding workflows and tools. The focus is on live code and demos—not PowerPoint slides or pitches.
Participants will have the freedom to choose their own build direction. While software builds are encouraged, creativity is key—attendees could also create an AI-generated movie, podcast, or even a rebrand for a company, as long as they lean heavily on AI tools and start from scratch. Tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Figma MCP, Runway ML, Sora 2, and Loveable will be available to help bring ideas to life. Attendees can work solo or in small teams of 2–3 people to maximize efficiency within the tight time window.
Who Should Apply:
This session is ideal for builders who ship code (or have the appetite to ship) rather than just talk about ideas. Developers, AI engineers, and product-builders who are comfortable creating live demos in a short timeframe are encouraged to join. Solo contributors or very small teams are preferred, as minimal coordination overhead is key to success. This event is not suited for pure strategy or consulting roles without coding interest, or for teams requiring extensive planning or feature-rich scopes. The focus is on moving fast and leveraging AI tools to ship quickly.
Skills Attendees Should Have:
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python) and the ability to spin up quick prototypes.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools or APIs (e.g., LLMs, multimodal models, generative AI tools) and comfort integrating them into builds.
- Ability to work fast: setting up scaffolding, deploying, and demoing a working instance within the time limit.
- If using both frontend and backend, familiarity with deployment platforms (e.g., Vercel, Heroku, Netlify) is helpful.
- Strong focus on narrowing scope: attendees should aim to build and demo one “happy path” rather than a full-featured product.
Important Note:
Attendees must bring their own laptops and chargers to compete in this session. Having your own equipment ensures you can work efficiently and make the most of the tools provided during the event.
This session emphasizes creativity, speed, and heavy use of AI tools to deliver impressive results in a short timeframe.
