The North American Outstanding Contribution to AI Award will recognize an individual based in the United States or Canada who has made a sustained and significant contribution to the AI industry over 10 years or more by the entry eligibility deadline of September 17, 2025.
Anusha has nearly two decades of experience advancing ethical AI adoption. She established a centralized AI Hub to deliver governance, analytics, and implementation services across UN agencies, aligning with the UN Secretary-General's Data Strategy. In 2024, she led collaborations with top universities to develop AI tools addressing global challenges, including detecting gender bias, identifying xenophobic language, and enhancing access to UN resources. As a professor at NYU and Fordham, Anusha mentors graduate students and leads global STEM initiatives, ensuring the next generation of AI leaders combines technical expertise with ethical responsibility.
