John K. Thompson
John K. Thompson is an international technology executive with over 37 years of experience in data, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI). He leads the global AI function at EY, overseeing the design, development, implementation, and use of innovative AI solutions across all EY service lines and functions. His team has developed several key services, including the world's largest secure private LLM-based chat service, a synthetic data generation service, an enterprise prompt engineering and management service, and a new model orchestration layer.
Before joining EY, John led the AI and advanced analytics team at CSL Behring, where he developed and deployed over 25 analytical applications in four years. He also served as an Executive Partner at Gartner and led the advanced analytics business unit of the Dell Software Group.
John is based out of Chicago and is the author of several books, including Causal Artificial Intelligence, Data for All, Building Analytics Teams, and Analytics: How to Win with Intelligence. His expertise spans all aspects of advanced analytics and information management, including descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, deep learning, cognitive computing, and high-performance computing. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Ferris State University and an MBA in Marketing from DePaul University.
