Raj Karan Gunukula
Raj Karan Gunukula is a seasoned technology leader with over 14 years of experience in technical program and product management across Gen AI, machine learning, blockchain. He currently serves as a Group Technical Program Manager at Coinbase, driving AI adoption and developer productivity across the full software development lifecycle.
Previously at Amazon, Raj rose to the role of Principal TPM, where he founded and led a TPM team managing 100+ engineers, scientists, and data specialists. He delivered flagship global programs in Generative AI, and data platforms that impacted over 5 million+ third-party sellers worldwide. He also spearheaded initiatives in grocery automation, fulfillment, and delivery optimization, generating multimillion-dollar operational savings.
At Ernst & Young, he advised leading power and utility companies on energy markets, trading, risk management, and large-scale transformation programs. Earlier, at NTPC, India’s largest power utility, he managed the commissioning and operations of a large scale super-thermal power project.
Raj holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Dhanbad, where he graduated as a silver medalist, and an MBA from Rice University. His career uniquely blends deep technical expertise in electrical engineering and AI with proven leadership in scaling global technology programs.
