Dr. David Allan is the Dirk Warren ’50 Sesquicentennial Chair for Business, the 2024 Tengelmann award winner, and the Director of the HAUB Innovation Lab at Saint Joseph’s University (USA). He teaches Marketing Communications, Marketing Management, and Music Marketing. He has a B.A. in Communications from AU, a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) from SJU & a Masters of Legal Studies (Entertainment) from USC, and a Ph.D. in Mass Media and Communications from Temple. He is also the Director of the HAUB Innovation Center. He has published three books on music marketing (Super Sonic Logos, This Note’s For You, and Hitplay); plus numerous articles including ““Music and Artificial Intelligence: Rage against the machine” (IJMSTA); and hosts two podcasts (Marketing Musicology and THENFTPHD). Prior to his academic career, he spent over twenty years in the radio industry.
