Matt Angle is the Founder and CEO of Paradromics, a neurotechnology leader developing the world’s most advanced and clinically viable brain-computer interface (BCI) platform—bridging human thought and digital capability.
He earned his PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Heidelberg, followed by postdoctoral research at Stanford University’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering, where he pioneered next-generation electronics for large-scale, high-fidelity neural recordings.
Recognizing the urgent need for a BCI platform engineered for long-term clinical use and capable of capturing brain activity at unprecedented data rates, Matt founded Paradromics, securing competitive NIH and DARPA contracts to advance the core neurotechnology.
In 2019, under Matt’s leadership, Paradromics initiated development of its first clinical product, the Connexus® BCI, recipient of two FDA Breakthrough Device Designations, which achieved its first-in-human neural recording in May 2025. The company is now preparing to launch a clinical trial in late 2025 to evaluate the device’s long-term safety, performance, and patient impact.
