Mudit Gupta is an executive director in EY’s Advisory service line and is based in the New York office. He is focused on the Data and
Advanced Analytics across industry sectors. He is a seasoned leader in building strong analytics and audit teams, and he works to bring business, data analytics and systems together in a strategy and operationalize it as part of a business solution. He has lead multiple risk and audit transformation initiatives in his prior experience.   In a previous position as a corporate vice president of IA Innovation, and Analytics, Mudit was a business sponsor for embedding data governance and analytics into internal audit “DNA” and a core architect of an audit workforce transformation program. His experience has given him the ability to work with different cultures including Japan, Korea, India and Mexico. In this role, Mudit raised data issues to the Board and the Audit Committee of a Fortune 50 company, resulting in the creation of a Chief Data Officer role. In a previous position as a Vice President of Audit Shared Services, Mudit was the business owner for expanding off-shore Audit shared service center and migrating majority of SOX testing off-shore. Mudit had a previous stint with EY as a senior consultant — financial services from July 2004 to September 2007. In that role, he provided consulting, analytics and internal controls over financial reporting; analyzed business, technology and data processes to validate financial reports; re-engineered an annual hedge fund reporting process for an off-shore hedge fund regulator; and performed data analysis including pattern matching, information retrieval and reporting for litigation support for a global insurance brokerage firm.
