Rob Lloyd is the Chief Technology Officer for the City of Seattle, WA, overseeing a $300 million technology portfolio and leading a team of over 600 employees in service to the community. Seattle, the 17th largest U.S. city, operates with an $8 billion budget, employing more 13,500 staff across 84 square miles next to the beautiful Puget Sound. Previously, Rob was the Deputy City Manager for Transportation, Aviation and Technology in San Jose, CA, the 12th largest U.S. city, where he led a $1.5 billion portfolio with over 1,100 employees serving Silicon Valley. He served as San Jose’s Chief Information Officer for six years prior to the role.

With over 25 years of experience in technology, government and utilities across Washington, California, Arizona, Oregon, and Colorado, Rob’s teams have earned over 45 national honors for customer engagement, operational excellence, data enablement, and innovation. He has been named one of the nation’s AI 50; Governing Magazine Public Officials of the Year; GovTech 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers (twice); StateScoop City Executive of the Year (three times); ORBIEs Awards CIO of the Year (twice); Phoenix Business Journal 40 Under 40; and is a Cybersecurity Genius Fellow grant recipient.
