Sidharth Thapar is a Senior Data Scientist and AI Manager at Staples, where he leads enterprise-scale AI initiatives focused on semantic search, retrieval systems, and dynamic pricing platforms—powering over $150 million in revenue impact. He built Staples’ first GenAI-powered product matching system, a core pillar of the company’s B2B and public sector strategy, and has led transformational AI work across retail, e-commerce, and finance.
Prior to Staples, Sidharth developed advanced machine learning models for insider trading detection at FINRA, and spearheaded global pricing optimization tools at Stanley Black & Decker, delivering scalable, production-grade systems in high-stakes environments. His work has earned multiple accolades, including Staples’ Believe & Achieve Award and the AIDA WIN for AI excellence.
In 2025, he was granted a U.S. National Interest Waiver (NIW) in recognition of his sustained contributions to applied AI with national-scale impact across security, finance, and public services.
In addition to his enterprise work, Sidharth serves as a technical judge and advisor to AI conferences and early-stage ventures. Most recently, he was selected as a featured judge at the sold-out AI in Production Mini Conference at AWS GenAI Loft in San Francisco—alongside experts from Meta, OpenAI, Microsoft, and eBay—where he evaluated LLMOps, AI infrastructure, and enterprise deployment demos.
