I am a practicing congenital cardiothoracic surgeon with expertise in mechanical circulatory support, transplantation, and translational tissue engineering. I am well-versed in animal models of heart disease and have experience directing clinical development and navigating FDA processes. I am also deeply interested in leveraging technology to streamline the clinical practice of medicine and improve the quality and consistency of care we deliver. My team is currently deploying ML/AI-assisted tools to close care gaps in congenital heart and other cardiovascular diseases.
